Guest Starring Bob Berry!
“It’s warmer back on the South Island” was Bob Berry’s initial description of Melbourne, when he and his wife Sue came over for the launch of Whitestone Cheese, “and I’m a little worried about how much Sue is enjoying the shopping here!”
Whilst in Melbourne, Bob presented the range of Whitestone at two launch functions, the first to a range of trade experts at the Geebung Polo Club in Hawthorn, and the second to the foodies that had come from far and wide to the Ballarat’s food emporium, The Olive Grove.
Our favourite comment from the punters was in regards to the Windsor Blue when Bob was telling his tale of how Windsor Blue became Supreme Champion Cheese in 2006, and the other fine cheeses it beat to get there, from the crowd it was asked, “how can this (Windsor Blue) even compare to those other cheeses though when it is so different - it’s like nothing I have ever tried before?” To which Bob replied, “regardless of the fact it’s not like the other cheeses, did you like it?” and the unforgettable response, “oh it’s superb, it really is a magnificent cheese.” And that just summed up the entire range.
G&K can not thank Bob and Sue enough for their presentations and efforts whilst over here - and Sue’s Late Harvest Windsor Blue Dip will be a feature at all G&K functions to come!
